Maria Go Bye Bye!!!!

Yesterday was quite a hectic day. Most of the day was spent doing stuff such as packing bags, carrying luggage, weighing 40 KG boxes by carrying them and stepping onto a weighning scale. Thats right!!! Yesterday night my Sister left for Sydney via Bangkok to start a new life. Best of luck. Yesterday, the airport was quite a scene, had quite a hard time consoling Ami.
However to be quite honest, I didnt feel a thing. I really dont know why. Maybe because the world is such a small place today. However the takeoff at 11:50 pm was spectacular. All of us walked to the right of the airport and witnessed the Jumbo jet get on to the runway, accelerate and take off at a 40 degree angle. Spectacular indeed. Just to vanish into the hazy night sky(thanks to Lahore's Automobile Industry), and then appear again travelling in the opposite direction far away as three dots moving across the sky and vanishing finally. It wasnt until 5:20 am till we got an email from Maria saying that she cant find a phone and she's okay and all. Pretty advanced airport.
Anyways at estimated 4:00 pm she'll reach Australia to her new home and well I get to occupy her room and we all live happily ever after. I guess thats something only time will tell.

The Breaking News[In MultiColor]

THis is the question people have been asking me for a long long time until the point that its becoming kinda frustrating answering it. Anyways dudes, I cant go to Microsoft this October, however I may be able to go next October. Thanks for all the support. And this is all there is to it.
Apart from that everything is A Okay. I'm looking for a job to pursue and I'm perfectly happy. I dont have a picture with me so I'm putting a smiley :) <-- to show how happy I am.
OH and the Certain Mr. Somebody who I work for who I havent met suggested to me that we need little demons in our servers. You know little ones with pointy tails.

For Code Geeks:-

rectangles are defined by 4 vertices. We have lots and lots of rectangles. Come up with a solution better than O(n) time to determine how many points there are in the rectangles. Post solutions in comments. First awesome answer gets a treat from me :D.

Driving in Lahore's Killer Traffic

Well now that I have a break from the tough academic life at GIK, I finally have little if not much time at my hands, just enough to learn cooking and driving. So on todays menu was driving from 2:00 to 3:00 pm in Liberty, Center Point and Gandhi Park. Did I mention I hate roundabouts. The people here have no road sense(newbie driver talking), the people are deaf(you could honk all you want, but they wont listen, rather stroll along in front of your car at angles that make them look as if they are switching lanes rather than crossing the road. Okay the description most befitting to driving in Lahore is 1st Gear, 2nd Gear, Clutch, break, 1st Gear, Clutch Break. Maybe I'm overdoing it a little bit.

Apart from driving I'm working nowadays for someone who does not exist, whom I havent met and havent talked to and yet something makes me feel that he'll pay me for doing nothing at the end of the month. It was that certain person who does not exist who started pronouncing "Evil M$ person"[ME] as Evil Madolla Person. Gracias!!! You guys probably think that I'm working for some sort of Government Agency or Covert Op's, and if you're thinking along those lines. Its far more serious than what you think.

Anyways, Look at what I got <bzzt> *you are startled by the white Light* ((YOu remember no more))

Anyways I learned to cook Chicken Karahi today and it was awesome, one dish I definitely know how to cook, and I need to know how to remember to cook so here Goes.

CHICKEN KARAHI:

The Stove:

Take 1 Kilo of Chicken, throw in pot along with some hot oil[No! the oil doesnt have peppers or chilli in it, it has to be preheated]. Then you leave the chicken in and occasionally turn over and over and over.

Meanwhile, at Another Corner of the Kitchen where the cutting boards Dwell:-

Take out some Garlic. Around I clove. Take the segments out and peel. Also cut 1/2 Kilo of Tomato into Cubes, around 1/2 Ginger[okay I'm no expert in weight, but around as much ginger that would make 2 segments of your finger], cut around 4 Green Chillies, And take out the leaves[I beleive they were parsley] and start separating the leaves from the stems.

Back to the Stove after translocating the cutting board with all the Goodies on top of it there:-

Cut the garlic up a bit and throw it in the middle of the Chicken, and keep turning the chicken until golden brown. Once this is done, throw in the tomato[this will make the paste]. After this step throw in just a bit of Haldi[Tumeric], some corriander powder, some safaid zeera. Let everything slowly cook  and stuff, and in a bit, add all the parsley leaves and the Ginger. When it ends up looking like chicken karahi, add in the Green Chillies, pepper and squeeze in half a lemon. I guess that covers Chicken Karahi. :D

I-T does not accept any legal responsibilities or does not provide any assurances for the turn out of your chicken Karahi and shall not be held accountable for the any of mishaps that might happen. For safety purposes always cook with industrial grade safety googles and wear gloves. *Okay this is extending this a bit too far, so I'll stop now. Anyways Happy Cooking. I just wish I had a digital camera to capture this in its true essence.

I can Flyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another one of my daring but nevertheless stupid adventurous stunts. We have a set of 12 stairs in front of our faculty. I challenged Imad to jump over them. I thought he would chicken out, but to my amazement he ran and jumped over them and had quite a hard impact on the floor. This was quite an amazing feat. And now when Imad Theeta did it, I knew that its too late and I should be the one next. So I went back came in running and somehow couldn't make it to full speed, I was only at 75% of my max speed when I jumped. Even then, when I was airborne, I felt that I could make it with sufficient clearance. It was amazing for a moment I actually was flying that is until the impact. I landed on my right foot, lost balanced, slammed my right knee into the pavement rolled and slammed my left elbow on the floor, but I was alive. In fact I thought that I'd never felt better. The thought of doing something that you wanted to do and thought was'nt possible just materialized before my eyes. One of my happiest days in GIK. The only problem was that I could get up. After two efforts I finally got up on the third one after quite a bit of rest and examining everything for a fracture. Thank God there was none. I practically limped all the way back to the hostel and after that the swelling came in. now I walk slower than a snail, have a swollen right foot, a swollen right knee and a left calf that hurts like hell and that'll recover in around a week. *Sob* I'll really miss GIK.

And I'll really miss you Imad, and I'll miss all the crazy things we could have done.

Q)Todays blog trivia. What stupid and insane cool stunt will Imad and I-T pull off next if there is really a next time:-
  1. Jumping off a bridge onto a moving truck.
  2. Jumping off a moving tractor onto a bridge.
  3. Climbing mount Everest in a wet suit.
  4. Jumping off the top of LOGIK(GIKI's very own clock tower) onto the back of Ghora
