A lot has happened since my last blog, I've been to GIKI and returned, I bought read a novel by Stephen King titled, "The Gunslinger". I got SOP's made, wrote autobiographical statements, and applied to KTH. I registered for TOEFL which is due on the same day next week. All of that is old stuff.
While going through the racks of the old book shop and in pursuit of the perfect read, I came across a couple(okay lots) of exciting books. The entire list is too extensive so I'll just present what I filtered out. I got my selection down to two books. The first one was a book titled Ghosts & North Country Legends which is all about Spectres, ghosts, grey ladies, hell-hounds, witches, hob-goblins and the like. The good thing is that it also has pictures of haunted sites from Northern England. It was a gut feeling that compelled me to go for the book. So I took out a rather huge sum of Rs. 170 after bargaining with the shopkeeper. The original price was around Rs. 200. My budget at the time was to be limited within my Rs. 250 bimonthly leisure reading budget. I feel that it is an investment well made because such informative books really look good on shelves. And a message to all my GIKIAN book worm friends, "This book is exclusively for me. I will not lend it to anyone. Yes that means you!!!". The other one was a Readers Digest Word Power book. I figured that I already did registered for Toefl and what better way to prepare for Toefl while doing nothing more than having fun reading excerpts from Readers Digest. I've begun to love reading books. I'm averaging 2 books every 3 months. I feel that if this keeps going on, I'll have a huge library in no time.
Apart from that, projects that are on hold include, a flash video based on a song by Jimi Hendrix titled Purple Haze(Just made 5 secs so far). A flash movie idea I developed with Babarman a couple of days back at GIKI which starts at the destruction of the human race and goes back to how it happens. If I'm able to pull this up, you'll see a lot of cool visuals and effects. I would require a lot of help from Mr B though. Need to also make that automated stats system for ugX when I get back to GIK. These couple of weeks have been hectic and more is to come. I feel that my FYP is getting neglected amidst a whole range of events and activities.
Oh and another event of great importance. Hashim got me a birthday present. One that will help me stay fit and get my mind off stuff. He got me my very own skipping rope. :D I feel like murdering the person who took my previous rope to Karachi and left it there. :( Anyways back to the new rope. With a new rope comes a new set of challenges. Stair climbing is in my opinion an area of Skipping that has been neglected. None of the people(mostly little girls) have ever tried ascending or descending stairs while skipping. An art that I'm perfecting. right now I can climb 3 stairs with lots of concentration. I hope I get better at it. I have to be able to make it all the way up maybe 20 stairs before I graduate. Thats my personal aim. Hashim thinks I'll kill myself one of these days, but hey we are all a little bit whacked up inside.
For my Next birthday I need this skipping rope.
Basim thought I was parting with the blogosphere(an entity with which I am now fully melded) when I wrote on my last blog the following line, "Before terminating this post ...". This time I'll try to keep it more clear by saying that before I'm finished writing, I'd like to wish you all "Eid Mubarak", coupled with a "Happy New Year". I hope this year brings you guys joy, happiness, rekindled motivation, respect, and all the other good things there are out there.

Eid Mubarak to you too! I have no definitely plans to visit that part of the country any time soon, maybe for Softec...
That speed rope looks more suitable for some speed killing through strangulation. Try it on your brother on my behalf.
